Why I write

Writing is my therapy, my way of having a dialogue with myself. I put my thoughts, concerns and opinions on paper and those words, when I read them back, talk to me. They tell me something I didn’t know, something I would never have known if I hadn’t written them down. My thoughts become organised when I make a hard copy of them, goals become real, people and situations become understood, and I become a little bit saner.

I write every day and publish when I want to share something, even if it’s just a simple lesson I’ve learned or step I’ve taken to overcome personal adversity. Sometimes my insight comes from how I write, sometimes it’s found in what I write, but always the act of writing is the key that opens the door to a better life for me.
